What are Facials and Exfoliating Treatments?
Facials and exfoliating treatments are an important part of a skin maintenance regimen as they help shed old, dead cells and rejuvenate the skin. Our facials include extractions to clean out pores for a clearer complexion while exfoliating treatments lightly resurface the skin for a smoother look and feel. These treatments are safe for almost everyone with a few exceptions and they, are typically relaxing as well.

Why We Love Them
Facials and exfoliating treatments are essential for maintaining healthy skin. Done every 4 – 6 weeks as recommended, they align with your skin’s natural cellular turnover rate, keeping fresh, new skin at the surface and giving you a look that’s glowing and bright. Alongside a tailored skincare product regiment, these treatments also help smooth skin and create an ideal “canvas” for injectables, improving the aesthetic results of treatments such as Botox/Jeuveau, dermal fillers, Sculptra and PRF.
Why Radiance Rx?
We have a number of treatment options to best suit your needs. Our Deep Cleanse Treatment is a 30-minute facial focused on extractions, making it ideal for those with acne concerns. The European facial also offers extractions but adds on steam, masks and a relaxing facial massage. For exfoliation, our most popular options are microdermabrasion and dermaplaning. Microdermabrasion uses a crushed diamond tip along with suction to lightly resurface the skin. Meanwhile, dermaplaning uses a surgical blade to scrape off the dead skin and vellus hair from the face to exfoliate and reveal smooth, radiant skin.

What to Expect
During all the facial and exfoliating procedures, your aesthetician will start off by cleansing your skin thoroughly, then moving on to your treatment. After a deep cleanse or European facial, your skin will be hydrated, rejuvenated, and your pores will be cleared out. Following your dermaplaning / microderm treatment, skin will be smoother and brighter.
After your treatment, you can expect your skin to be slightly more sensitive than usual for 24-48 hours. To avoid any reactions or hypersensitivity, we typically recommend avoiding products with active ingredients (retinols, acids, exfoliants, etc.) for 1 – 3 days.
